The Berkeley Street Community Garden is composed of over 200 diverse families who share a common commitment to organic urban agriculture and access to healthy food. After numerous episodes of vandalism and theft participants were looking for a way to secure the garden but still make it visually accessible to the public. They designed a fence that would secure the space so families could garden peacefully but keep it open to views. Thankfully several gardeners rose to the occasion and started a fundraising committee to raise funds to make the fence possible. I worked with them (and a committee) to create a planting plan that would reorganize the traffic pattern and soften the perimeter of the garden. You can learn more here.
